IC Information:

Name: Mezool / Uzume "Azure" Nakagawa

Canon: Kamen Rider OOO

Age: 800 years old / 14 years old

Preincarnation Appearance:

Greeed form
Human disguise
close up of her human disguise she's adorable look aw baby

Any differences: Zero ability to turn into the first link, i.e. a monster made of medals. it makes more sense in context.

Preincarnated History:

a dry and very confusing but fairly accurate version of her history.

Basically:
- She was an entity called the Queen of the Ocean Beasts that was given form through a set of ten medals by alchemists. An emperor called OOO took one medal away from her, inducing an emptiness that in return gave birth to her physical form, which immediately started to look for ways to fill her empty soul. This physical form was called a Greeed, and she was one of a set of five.
- She decided to rebel against her creator, the emperor OOO, to take back her medals, but failed along with the other Greeed and was sealed away with them for 800 years.
- 800 years later, she was revived with the other Greeed and proceeded to wreak havoc among the populace of some big city vaguely reminiscent of Tokyo. Most of her interactions revolved around opposing the new OOO, who was allied with another Greeed in order to protect the world from the Greeed (in a roundabout way), and interacting with her fellow Greeed, of whom she served as a maternal presence and the voice of reason.
- Until Cazali, one of the other Greeed, totally SHANKED HER
- And when she went to Uva for help he TOTALLY TRIED TO SHANK HER
- And when she came across Gamel, the last Greeed allied with her who loved her like a mother, she totally SHANKED HIM and took all his medals (ok she was kind of putting him out of his misery BUT STILL), combined them with her own, turned into this gestalt monstrosity, and died.
- -- but then Uva brought them all back. AND THEN THEY ALL BACKSTABBED HIM BECAUSE HAHA. JACKASSES.
- Then she was allied with some Doctor who wanted to actually bring about the end of the world and she was a-o-good with that.
- But Uva totally revived his own damn self and came back with Ankh, the last Greeed. FRAYING TENSIONS.
- A few episodes later, she has all nine medals back and has UNLIMITED POWER!!! And then we find out that the one thing she wants to feel is genuine maternal love and she rejects her mother son relationship with Gamel for something real, ie she kidnapped mothers and sons to feed off their bonds. Nope no urges to destroy the world at all here whoops
- And then she got shanked and died in Gamel's arms and no one is happy after this point at all ever.

Reincarnated History

Uzume (called Azure by pretty much everyone) was born March 7, 1999, a Pisces-Rabbit (it makes for mystique, she'll say with a wink), to the Nakagawa family, the father a mildly successful writer of thoughtful novels about growing up Japanese in America, and a dentist mother. A single child, she was showered with support and love, encouraged to pursue her goals and develop her own interests. In that sense, she's a little spoiled! Nothing terribly bad has ever happened to her, and all of her problems are mundane and tend to revolve high school drama, and how. Recently, her interests have taken a turn towards the opposite sex - someone's a little boy-crazy. She's already had her first and second boyfriends (and? maybe a third?? no one knows what's going on with that to be honest.)

She's dreamed of being a marine biologist ever since her first visit to the local aquarium, and she's meandering her way there, dedicating herself to her biology studies in particular and planning on going to a coastal school with a strong marine biology focus. She's already dedicated to looking good in her college applications - her current plans are to volunteer at the aquarium every summer and to run for student council as soon as she can to bolster her already excellent biology grades, but her tendency to obsess over the latest school heart throbs and gossip like crazy has already made her both popular and notorious, meaning that she gets invited to a lot of social outings, her school work falling by the wayside. All in all, she's a very normal, sensible young lady (if somewhat flighty) with a bright future ahead of her, as long as she can focus! Haha... ha....

First Echo:

The aurora in the sky on March 31st! Sorry absolutely lazy here. She's slightly hydrokinetic now! If she has a tall glass of water on a table, with a lot of persistent effort and concentration she can tip it over. With her mind.

Preincarnation Personality:

Mezool is the very essence of the feminine mystique: maternal, flirtatious, caring, absolutely fair and a balm to any arguments among the Greeed, interested in gossip, current events, and reading through trendy magazines. Outside of her Greeed group, she is cunning and observant, choosing to bide her time and using her compatriot's louder games to run her own operations until it's too late for the good guys to interfere. She doesn't get angry, merely... persuasive (i.e. she gets very, very passive aggressive) and somewhat vindictive when crossed. She'll do a lot to shield and manipulate her way through situations, and isn't above flirting with her enemies just to get a rise out of them. She toys the border between matriarch and femme fatale, and all of her power and personality comes from manipulating the two archetypes at her bidding.

Within her peer group, the Greeed, she mimes a mother-son relationship with Gamel, a Greeed with the simple-minded capacity of a child, and essentially holds the group together as the matriarch as Uva and Cazali's machinations threaten to tear them all apart. She's outwardly the most generous among the Greeed - although it's the Greeed's instinct to take and steal, her instincts are to give, cooperate, and share freely.

In reality, this is all a sham. She's a Greeed to the core medals. Her life and soul were split into medals and separated until she effectively doesn't have either anymore. Although her senses aren't muted, they are dulled in that nothing gives her true joy, love, or happiness. She goes through the motions of being a caring, sensitive mother who only wants the best for her erstwhile children, but willingly sacrifices them and pushes them away whenever the opportunity for something more real (or, in a pinch, something that will give her more power) comes along. She's manipulative and needy, never truly appreciating Gamel's sacrifices and concern for her (Gamel is not a "nice guy", he is literally a child who loves his mother, i.e. Mezool, and Mezool manipulates that dedication). She obsessively acts her role as a matriarch for the majority of her life, but as soon as someone calls her out on her displays of affection as false, she turns on everyone she favored in insecurity and despair in search of something real. Although she had the power to destroy the world at that point, she didn't use it to destroy the world that created her and her hopeless longing for true love. Instead, she uses it to kidnap thousands of mother and child pairs throughout the city, feeding off their love and life until her end came. Feeling that love was her utmost priority, far more important than taking any kind of petty revenge against humanity - like all Greeed, she chased the obsessive desire to feel, but never wished for the destruction of the world. She never truly got the chance to experience a real relationship in the end, whether maternal or romantic. It's unclear whether she felt fulfilled by the feelings of these fake relationships, but she does bid Gamel a tearful goodbye as she died, meaning at the very least she did hold her one semblance of a real relationship dear to her.

Essentially, Mezool is a mother who never got to be a mother, and died never regaining the sense of maternal joy that she was born with. OOO is not a happy show.

Any differences:

Azure gets to start the life that Mezool probably always wanted, living the facade Mezool had as a reality. She's genuinely loving, caring, and personable, the first to jump on a giggly train of gossip and the first to offer a compassionate shoulder to someone in the aftermath. She is boy crazy, but has very real dreams of settling down with a family and juggling a career as a marine biologist at the same time, and those very real dreams tend to scare casual suitors off. She's definitely the type to scrapbook her future wedding and probably has an active pinterest of all of the beautiful things she'd want for her future home. She's not at all unearthly, and she's certainly not a monster.

One thing Mezool has that Azure lacks is a sense of maturity and forethought. She doesn't really have the sense that her actions have consequences, and therefore isn't the best strategist or planner. She may be neat and organized, but her gossipy tendencies and desire to mom everyone tends to get her in trouble, giving her a bossy and pushy reputation. She leaps before she looks more often than not. However, her upbeat nature and strong sense of responsibility tends to push her through her troubles, and she comes out of the other end Having Learned A Valuable lesson; she's flighty and young, not unteachable. Essentially, she's a shoujo magical girl heroine who is now locked into a very, very non-shoujo-magical-girl-heroine future. Sorry, Azure...

Abilities:

As a complete Greeed, she embodies a total of nine core medals that are filled with her life force: three medals that symbolize an orca whale, three medals that symbolize an electric eel, and three medals that symbolize an octopus. The rest of her being is made up of cell medals, generic holders of energy that help her maintain her strength and form. One of the orca medals hold her core personality; as long as that medal isn't destroyed, she can be revived with enough cell medals. She can break her body down into its component medals in order to fit through spaces that wouldn't usually be able to accommodate her without any ill effects, making infiltrating any sort of facility a simple matter.

She is very resistant and nigh impenetrable by any traditional or non-traditional weaponry, and can fight hand to hand with ease. She's one of the fastest of the Greeed, although she's not as quick and agile as Cazali and Ankh. She's very strongly hydrokinetic, able to create and manipulate huge bursts of water from thin air and from existing bodies of water. She also has abilities related to the medals associated with her: She can summon bolts of electricity via the electric eel power and make her way up walls via octopus suction cups. She is also at home underwater as an inhumanly powerful swimmer. She can also breathe underwater. Only Kamen Riders have enough power to fight against her on even ground, and only a very, very powerful attack can truly destroy her cores, making her very near invincible.

She also has the ability to manipulate her appearance to look like anyone she chooses, although she appears to like the appearance of a young girl more than anyone else. Changing her appearance does not affect the rest of her powers, although she doesn't tend to use them while she's in that form. Suspicious and all.

Her main cell medal gathering tool is the creation of a monster called a Yummy; after inserting a cell medal into a human being, a nest of Yummies forms somewhere the victim frequents. As their obsession with an activity grows as a result of the possession, the nest fills with eggs, which feed on their desire. The eggs eventually hatch into thousands of Yummies, which she then harvests for their Cell Medals.

Roleplay Sample – Third Person:

Azure licks the last stamp and presses it firmly into her scrapbook. All done! She smiles to herself, shifting back to survey her work; this particular scrapbook is an enthusiastic overture to her latest obsession... world-hopping! Specifically, to islands all over the world: Hawaii, Puerto Rico, then farther abroad to the Bahamas and the Mediterranean, the Philippines and a quick hop over to the motherland before going aaall the way back to the Mediterranean - Rome, Venice, Athens! She gathers the scrapbook up to her chest and flops back on her bed. They say that the hottest guys live in Italy... she imagines herself on a yacht, watching glassy green waves with a tall, dark Italian boy at her elbow, his hand at the wheel and his eyes looking soulfully into hers. Where to next? She squeals and covers her face with the book, kicking her legs fiercely. Anywhere!

... Speaking of freakouts, she thoughtfully slips the book from her face and looks at the clock, her eyes widening in horror as the numerals resolve into a one, zero, three, four. Ten thirty already? She slaps the scrapbook shut and scrambles over her bed to her desk, where her books lay, still open. Ugh... Algebra. Boring, tedious algebra, not at all graceful or romantic. Still... she needed to keep her grades up if she wanted to leave the city at some point. She plops into her chair and pulls it towards the desk, picking up her pencils and forcing herself not to doodle any more hearts or dolphins in the margins. This is for Naples. This is for the yacht in the Mediterranean!

She scribbles furiously until midnight, the page full of equations she barely remembers doing afterward. She stretches back, popping her back... Oh, if only she hadn't accepted that offer to go to the pool party earlier today. Yes, it was near the end of school and some of them needed to unwind, but that just caused more drama and headaches than she was willing to accommodate for, and she knew she'd ache all over tomorrow. School wasn't over yet! The pool parties could wait until afterward, and the drama could bubble over all summer... Samantha was going after Roger, again, even after Azure totally didn't (but totally did) call dibs first. Well, she could have him, then! He was old news, anyway, even though he totally did break her heart during Homecoming. Seriously, who cared about him? Her mind kept rolling a mile a minute through related drama as she stumbled through her shower teeth bed routine, leaving her exhausted and mildly furious as she pulled the covers over her chin. Man... Poor Jamie, though. Roger totally strung her along. She'd have to catch up with her during lunch, maybe see if she needed an afternoon in retail therapy. Yes, she decided, nestling in deeper. That is what she would do.

Also, as she slowly fell asleep, she definitely, definitely did not think about how she totally could kick faster through the water today for no reason at all. Nope. Not thinking about that. Not thinking how she totally beat them all in Marco Polo without even trying. Not. Even. Touching. That. Her life is complicated as it is... There was absolutely no need to make things worse.

Roleplay Sample - Network:

[ There is a very badly sparkle-texted huge huge huge message on the network that reads as follows: ]

TLC DAY!!!

Hey girls! How about we don't think about werewolves and fuzzy munchkins for about two hours? Instead, let's get makeovers together! We can get a group rate at a spa, manipedis and facials for everyone! Or if we don't have the cash, we can skip that and diy it up at my place. Don't worry, my house is huge! As long as we don't wreck it, Mom and Dad won't mind. ;) It'd be BYOB, but don't worry about the food. I've got enough snacks for an army! [ Azure does not care if you bring alcohol. This. Could use some clarification. WHAT ARE CONSEQUENCES THOUGH. ]

Also... Sorry, no boys allowed. :'( I don't usually enforce this, but this would be a ladies only event! Don't worry! We won't rip into you guys too hard, and I'll do a co-ed event later if you guys get jealous. ;)

If you're interested, tell me if you need a ride and DEFINITELY if you can chip in for the spa! I don't have my license yet, but I can help organize carpools too. That's everything! Questions/Comments/Concerns go here!

Any Questions?

I HAVE ANOTHER BILLION CHARACTERS COMING SORRY ABOUT MY ENTIRE LIFE
